  Introduction  
  This qualification is designed for supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity. Based on the National Occupational Standards for Management and Leadership, this qualification is accredited at Level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework in England, Wales and N Ireland, and is positioned at Level 6 on the Scottish Qualifications Framework.

Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification. However, candidates are likely either to hold a Certificate in Team Leading and/or have a few years experience at supervisory or first line management level.
 
Progression Route
Upon successful completion of the Certificate in Management, a number of progression options become available:
Enhance your professional status by becoming an Associate member (ACMI) of the Institute
Progress onto the next level of Institute qualification, the Diploma in Management and then onto
  Member grade (MCMI) and Chartered Manager status.
