  What is the ACCA?  
  ACCA stands for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. It is one of the major British accountancy professional bodies, guiding and regulating the profession, and representing the profession both in the UK and internationally.  
     
  What is the ACCA Professional Scheme?  
  The ACCA Professional Scheme combines focused, professionally-relevant study and practical experience in preparation for a career in accountancy. The study programme is the distillation of careful, in-depth research and consultation with governments, students, colleges, employers and the accountancy profession, representing the entire range of public and private sector interests worldwide.  
  The rigorous scheme prepares students for a whole range of jobs in Finance and Accountancy.  
     
  What will the qualification do for me?  
  The ACCA qualification is highly respected throughout the world. Those students passing all the examinations will be entitled to use the designatory letters ACCA after their name, and be entitled to describe themselves as Chartered Accountants. In addition, they will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science by Oxford Brookes University. As Chartered Accountants, they will be able to hold stimulating and rewarding positions in finance, accountancy or business management. Quite simply, after ACCA graduation, the world is your oyster. Careers and jobs are continually developing in the expanding fields of finance and accountancy. Job prospects and remuneration are excellent.
